Horse Portrait Lithograph
This lithograph didn't turn out as well as I expected. I'm not sure what caused the blotches over the image after it was processed and printed up. Maybe I didn't grind the stone enough or it could be 'water burns' on the asphaltum, which I only learnt now from looking into this, alongside the traces of previous image I considered it could also be natural impurities/resistant parts in the stone, but water burns seems more likely.. I am going to attempt another, I want to make a series of head portraits and have gathered a small collection from my visits to Smithfield over that last couple of months.
